Why In the Real World

I don’t understand why football players and basketball players can get millions of
dollars just for sitting on the field or court for three minutes. Why is it that they get so much money for just playing a dumb game? People in the real world don’t even get half that much in a year.

My option is that the football players, basketball players, singers and everyone else shouldn’t be getting so much money. There are people in the United States who are
homeless and don’t have money to feed themselves let alone their family. I feel that
people getting all this money for something really dumb, like a game for being there for just three minutes, is just plain stupid. There are people in this world that could actually use some of that money to live.

My Mom and I were talking on the way home from Wal*Mart and we mentioned how when Brett Favre did something stupid he only got fined $50,000 dollars. He gets that much money for being on the field for three minutes. We might get close to that much in a year that is with my Dad working his military job, his Hearty Platter job, and with us doing Foster Care. Why is it that he can get that much for just showing up to a
game and not doing anything, but we have to work really hard to get that much?

I feel that these people don’t need all that money just for playing a game. I believe
that those people should get less money and let the people who actually need money to
live a life and get food on the table for their families. Those people should have that money not the other people who just come to a game and get it. No one needs $50,000 dollars just to live a couple days. I would be happy with $50,000 dollars a year or even later. I just need enough money to get me by.
