Christmas Break

Over Christmas break I had a lot of interesting things happen. On December 22 I got a phone call asking to come get a bat out of a church. When we got to the church the bat was in a window waiting for us. He then had to get difficult and fly around. While he was flying Mom and I started to follow him so when he landed we could get him. We decided to just stand still and wait. Mom and I were waiting for the bat to just land on either of us. After flying a little bit he went under the Christmas tree. We went to see if we could find him and we did. He flew out at as after he saw no one gave him a Christmas gift. He flew around some more and then we heard a thud. The bat flew into a window and fell. I grabbed the bat and put him in the cage. While I was putting him in the cage he started to climb up my arm into my coat sleave. I didn't let him get too far. We brought him home and made out dogs mad. It was funny. Our dogs hate bats because they make noise lol.

On December 23 we went to Sun Prairie to my mentors house to give him the bat. It is to late in the year to release a bat that is why we brought the bat to him. While we were there I got to feed the bat mealworms and give him some water. One of the mealworms tried to crawl up my sleave. After I feed the bat some we moved him around to a better way of holding him and I fed him some more. While I was feeding him he bit my finger trying to get the worm. It hurt but he didn't break skin. While I was feeding him and afterwards we were talking for a bit about some things. When we were done we weighed him. He weighed 16.2 grams. This was after we fed him and gave him water. Then Ken (my mentor) put fingernail polish on the tip of the bats toes so they could identify the bat and where he came from. We talked some more and then we left. It was a lot of fun and I even got some more bat stuff that I can use to rescue bats. Yeah!

December 24 we kind of just chilled because it was Christmas Eve. After my little sister went to bed we helped Mom put some more gifts under the tree and we got cookies and carrots out for Santa and the reindeer. Then we went to bed.

December 25 most of us stayed in out jammies all day. We opened gifts and then chilled. Mom played a really good trick on my sister with her class ring. Im a little scared to see what they have planned for my class ring when they give it to me.

December 26 There was a really good Christmas movie on and we really wanted to finish watching it. We missed Sunday school and then when the movie was over it was about 15 minutes into the church serves so we didn't go to church. I don't think we went anywhere either. I think that was another chilled day in Moms room.

December 27 I was getting ready for Grandma and Grandpa to come over. I was cutting cheese, sausage, and veggies. While cutting the sausage I stabbed my finger with the knife. Then I went to the veggies and when I was going to another veggie I hit the knife and it fell off the counter. I was really happy I was in shoes. The knife brushed my leg and hit the floor. I was so happy it didn't cut me. I then went and chilled with Grandma and Grandpa. After a while we opened more gifts and we went and had lunch. We had Moms homemade Lasagna. Dad went to work after he ate and then we just talked some. After a little bit I went downstairs and got nail polish. I grabbed red and green. I painted my Grandpas fingernails for the 3rd time. It was fun we had Christmas colors lol. I can't wait to do it again.

December 28 We chilled most of the day and then we had a bat call. When we went there we emptied the closet we thought it was in and then a few more. We couldn't find it. We talked some and then on the way out we got told we were going to get food next time we came.

December 29 just another chill day

December 30 We went to Lacrosse to see if the recruiting people could explain my ASVAB results to me. I got lost and just zoned out. Mom understood everything. After I got told what it ment we talked to the soldier a little bit and then left. I am going to be working on practicing for the ASVAB and then I am going to be taking it again. We stopped at a few stores and then went home. When we got home Dad, Angela, and Faith got out of the van and then Mom and I went to the hospital for my appointment. I got a shot for the chicken pocks and then a while later I got blood drawn to see if I can still bite people. Just kidding its to see if the rabies vaccination is still in me or if I need to get a buster shot. My arms hurt for a little bit. I just took the bandaid off from the shot. I have a bruise on my arm where I got blood drawn from. After that we chilled at home.

December 31 We got two 8 month old girl twins for the weekend. That was quit fun. Angela and I got to play Mom for the weekend. Mom, Dad, and I went and got the girls and on the way home we stopped at walmart. One of our friends asked if the babies were mine. I told him that if they were mine I would be dead. He agreed. After walmart we went home. We had a lot of fun working with the babies. When it was bed time for the babies they cried a bit and then fell asleep. Because it was new years eve Dad went outside and did some fireworks at midnight. He made the dogs bark which made the babies wake up. I was up until 1:40 am before I went to sleep.

January 1 We had a chill day at home. We pretty much played with the babies all day unless they were sleeping. I was so happy we had a few hours to chill with out them. It was cute after one of the naps they get I grabbed a baby and mom grabbed one. We cuddled on moms bed. I have a really cute picture of the baby and I cuddling. She looks very mad lol.

January 2 we went to church and I was really happy I got my little cuddle bug. She almost fell asleep in my arms. It was cute. After a while Dad stole her from me. I gave her to mom for a minute and then Dad stole her. But thats ok after a while I stole her back. Most of the service I was at the back of the chapel walking around with my little one. She was getting fussy and antis. I enjoyed holding her. Church was almost over and Dad took her from me. We talked to a few people and then I got her back and got her ready to leave. After church we went home to get food for the babies and then we went out for lunch. On our way to lunch the babies fell asleep in the van YEAH! We went to Hearty Plater in Tomah. Angela and I fed out babies before we got food. Then while we tried to eat we gave them some juice. That was a lot of fun. I ended up holding my baby for a while. And Angela had her baby try and get her food while she was holding her. Mom took Angelas baby so she could eat.

After lunch we went home and put the little ones to bed. When they woke up we played with them and watched a movie until it was time for them to leave. When it was time we got them ready to go and then Angela, Faith, and Mom took the two girls home. Angela and Faith cried. I was ok. I probably would have cried if I went with but I didn't. After they were home we chilled for the rest of the night. Now I am at school writing.
