My Testimony

I am raised in a Christian Home. I go to church on Sundays, and I go to youth group on Wednesdays. I feel it is really weird to go through the week if I don’t go to both. I feel I need to go to church on Sundays and Bible study on Wednesdays. The church I am going too now, I heard who people tell their testimony. Then on a Wednesday at Bible study my Pastor said something that made me ask a question. My question was, “what is my testimony?” I knew I had one but I wanted to know what it was.
A couple days later I asked my Mom that question. When she told me, I was really excited. I enjoyed hearing how I accepted the Lord as my Savior. To be honest I almost was in tears because of how much it touched me to hear how young I was when I decided to take the Lord as my Savior. In this writing I plan to tell you just how I took the Lord as my Savior.
Mom told me that we were at a Billy Graham Crusade. It lasted for four days. Mom, Dad, my sister, Angela, a friend, her Mom, and I there. On the last day when the people said if you want to take the Lord as your Savior please come up. Angela and her friend went up, mom and dad went with them. Mom thought the reason I followed was because I didn’t want to be with the friend’s mom in our seats. So mom let me come but she told me not to say the prayer. Apparently when we all got back to our seats I told mom that I wanted to say the prayer. She felt so bad for telling me not to say the prayer. After the concert we went to a counselor afterwards and I got to say the prayer. Mom thinks I was about 5 years old at the time.
Doesn’t that just make you tear up a bit? It did for me. I thought it was so sweet and touching. I honestly hope that if you have not accepted the Lord as your Savior and you read this and it still hasn’t hit you. I am so sorry. I hope you accept him in your heart soon. You never know when the day is that he will be coming back to Earth to get us. You might be the one left behind. I hope you are not. God loves us all and wants us all to be with him. Please take the Lord as you Savior and follow him. It is the better path to take.
